Retailers: Wells, Anderson & Race represents two major retailers statewide. The litigation is wide in scope and includes premises liability matters, product liability, false arrest or imprisonment, automobile accidents, §1981 litigation, and fire losses.
Airports: Wells, Anderson & Race attorneys have represented airports in Colorado, including DIA, in tort litigation matters for more than ten years. Representation includes premises liability matters, injuries on escalators, moving walkways and elevators; train malfunctions; airplane accidents; baggage movers; and buses.
Intellectual Property: Our work in intellectual property involves preservation of clients’ rights in proprietary information, defense of claims of misappropriation of trade secrets or names/likenesses of others, and patent infringement.
Appellate Practice: In addition to handling appeals arising from our trials, and appeals of cases tried by others, we have written numerous amicus briefs for the Product Liability Advisory Council. These briefs have been filed in the United States Supreme Court, state supreme courts, and other appellate courts, and deal with issues like the standards for the admissibility of- expert evidence in trial courts, adequacy of warnings, and standards for testing concerning alternative designs.
Civil Rights: We represent governmental entities and officials in the defense of claims alleging unconstitutional conditions of confinement, cruel and unusual punishment and other violations of constitutional rights and torts.
