Mary A. Wells, Member, Ms. Wells' national trial practice focuses on complex litigation including product liability and business matters. She is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and is the 10th Circuit Representative to the ABA Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. Ms. Wells was named one of the top 50 women litigators by the National Law Journal in 2002. In 2003, she received the prestigious John P. Raleigh Award from the Product Liability Advisory Council. She is listed in 2009 Colorado's Super Lawyers.  Ms. Wells has been active in mass tort litigation for medical device, pharmaceutical, safety equipment, and friction product companies. She has tried numerous cases across the country and participated in innovative procedures concerning expert testimony, including preservation of trial testimony from court-appointed experts in the breast implant litigation. In addition, she has extensive trial experience in aviation products liability cases, primarily in the defense of airframe manufacturers. Her business litigation has been primarily directed to contract disputes.  Ms. Wells was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1977. Sheryl L. Anderson, Member, Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. Anderson was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1980 and to the Colorado Bar in 1982. Ms. Anderson's litigation practice centers on complex contract disputes for insurers and other companies, insurance bad faith claims, arson, and fraud. Cathy Havener Greer, Member, Ms. Greer has been practicing law since 1976. After serving as an assistant attorney general for the State of Colorado, as counsel to the Colorado Bank Commissioner, and the Colorado Savings and Loan Commissioner, as well as serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Missouri, she entered private practice in 1987. Since entering private practice, she has focused on civil litigation, primarily in the areas of business litigation, employment, and civil rights defense. Her practice includes the defense of corporations and public entities and officials in federal and state trial and appellate courts, as well as before administrative agencies. Her practice also involves advising corporations on electronic discovery, document preservation, and retention issues. Ms. Greer is a board member of the Colorado Campaign for Inclusive Excellence and serves as the co-chair of the Pipeline Working Group of the Deans' Diversity Council. Ms. Greer is the Dean of the 2010 Corporate Counsel College of the International Association of Defense Counsel. She is listed in 2009 Colorado's Super Lawyers. She is a frequent speaker in Colorado and nationally on employment, risk prevention, and constitutional and civil rights issues. She participated in the Oxford Strategic Leadership Program at the University of Oxford Templeton College in 2002, and was an invited lecturer there in 2003. Ms. Greer is a member of the IADC and served as a member of the IADC Executive Committee from 2001 through 2004 and as a faculty member at the 1998 Defense Counsel Trial Academy. Suanne M. Dell, Member, Ms. Dell was born at Northamptonshire, England, and educated in the United States. She was admitted to the Colorado Bar, the United States District Court for Colorado, and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1988, and to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States in 1998. Her practice concentrates on tort suits of all kinds, including employment law, recreational law, construction litigation, and product liability. L. Michael Brooks, Jr., Member, A Denver native, Mr. Brooks was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1995. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. His practice concentrates on trial and appellate litigation in the areas of product liability, mass torts, insurance coverage, and construction defects.  Mr. Brooks has been active in complex civil litigation on both the trial and appellate levels, particularly in product liability and insurance cases. He has served as appellate advisory counsel in many product liability trials, developing and arguing pretrial motions, jury instructions, trial briefs, dispositive motions, post-trial motions, and related pleadings, and in preserving appellate issues. His appellate practice has included diverse cases involving product liability, insurance coverage, public entity liability, and personal injury matters, as well as amicus curiae briefs in the United States Supreme Court, the Circuit Courts of Appeal, and many state courts of last resort regarding the standards governing the admissibility of expert testimony.  Mr. Brooks' insurance practice includes substantial litigation and client counseling regarding insurance coverage in first- and third-party claims both in Colorado and on a national basis. His insurance practice also includes representation of insurers in complex extra-contractual litigation.  After graduating from law school, Mr. Brooks served two terms as a law clerk on the Colorado Court of Appeals, serving the Hon. David G. Mayhan, Member, David Gregory Mayhan has been practicing law since 1985, having earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Iowa School of Law. He was admitted to the Colorado bar in 1985 and to the Minnesota Bar in 1987 (now inactive). He is also admitted to the Bar of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice is concentrated in aviation law, product liability, insurance coverage law, commercial litigation, construction defect, and intellectual property. Before joining Wells, Anderson & Race, LLC in 2002 as Special Counsel, he was a senior attorney for the American Family Insurance Group in Denver, where his responsibilities included litigation and supervising outside counsel in litigation for American Family and its insureds throughout the western United States. Prior to that, Mr. Mayhan was a member of Wilson & Mayhan, LLC, which defended manufacturers in products liability litigation and represented corporations in commercial and intellectual property litigation. Geoffrey S. Race, Of Counsel, Born in Michigan, Mr. Race was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1964. His practice is concentrated in the areas of product liability, construction litigation, insurance coverage and bad faith, employment law, and negligence. He has served as an expert witness in coverage and bad faith litigation and has also served as a mediator in personal injury disputes.  Active within the International Association of Defense Counsel, Mr. Race has served on many of its committees, including product liability, casualty insurance, pharmaceutical medical devices, and biotechnology, international practice, and the membership and long-range planning Committees. While on the IADC's Executive Committee he played an integral part in expanding the Association's international membership. Larry S. McClung, Special Counsel, was born in Hawaii. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1988. Marilyn S.
