About Wells, Anderson and Race, LLC
Professional Development
and Training
We recognize our responsibility
to train our attorneys so they become capable of assisting our
clients competently, efficiently, and independently. This starts with
individual case mentoring - at no expense to our clients. Training
classes are held in-house on topics of general interest, such
as changes to substantive areas of law, trial practice, briefing
and pre-trial procedures.
Wells, Anderson & Race, LLC pays
for the continued legal education of all of its attorneys. At the
appropriate time in their legal career our attorneys attend
deposition training at the Defense Counsel Trial Academy of the
International Association of Defense Counsel. Our attorneys
participate in the Faculty of Federal Advocates program of the
United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Through
the Faculty our attorneys can attend monthly legal education
programs at which the U.S. District Court Judges and Magistrate Judges
speak and the annual half day Roundtable with the Federal Judges.
On a yearly basis, the members
evaluate the progress of our associates and discuss with them their
development as attorneys and opportunities we can provide to them in
order to advance their careers; and to provide additional training
or assistance they may need to develop professionally.
All of our attorneys continue to
seek professional and personal improvement throughout their career,
including participation at professional conferences - such as the
IADC meetings, and the DRI area specific conferences, such as
Product Liability, Drug and Medical Device, and Governmental , the
Product Liability Advisory Council, and Colorado Bar Association,
Denver Bar Association and Colorado Defense Lawyers' Association
programs. We welcome opportunities to attend client specific
training, and to provide training for our clients in areas of
interest to them.
We know that the training of
staff goes hand in hand with our commitment to provide excellent
representation to our clients. We have regular staff training as we update
our software resources. We send our staff to conferences and
training programs as needed.
Wells, Anderson & Race, LLC is
committed to diversity in the recruitment and retention of attorneys
and staff. Wells, Anderson & Race, LLC is a member of NAMWOLF, the
National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms. The Firm
is a founding member of the Colorado Campaign for Inclusive
Excellence, now known as the Center for Legal Inclusiveness. Its attorneys are involved in community pipeline and
mentoring events.
